A Local Historic District (LHD) is an area which has been protected from dramatic change in order to maintain its architectural, historic and cultural integrity. All the structures within the district enjoy the same protection ensuring that the original aesthetic of the community is maintained. There are three Local Historic Districts in Greenwich.
